Last Friday when I fetched my son in the school bus stop, he immediately asked me if he could play in the computer. Since its Friday and they don’t have class the next day. I immediately said I am too busy and had lots of things to do in the computer. I need to prepare the test questionnaire for my students because it’s the exam week. I also need to write the article that was given to me and mind you, its not just 5 articles 41 articles that need to be written and some of them will be submitted within 24 hrs and the rest will have the next day. Plus I also need to answer some questions that were given to me as well. In short I am too busy and I don’t want you to disturb me.
My son said “your so busy Mommy and I know what you need” and I said “what?” he replied “ you need an assistant”. I am really laughing at him, how this little guy could think that I need assistant for my work. And so I told him, can I have you as my assistant and I’ll just pay you. He immediately said “No way, I am too tired”

I don’t know how you young mothers do it all these days. I only had one and my parents helped me while I worked. Now that she is grown and on her own, I am so thankful that I did not have to do it now in today’s world. I admire all parents who are raising children today as it is much harder than it was on me.
